Venous ulcers, also called stasis ulcers of the feet, occurs when blood does not normally circulate through the leg veins. This situation is called venous insufficiency. Typically, venous ulcers occur on one side of the lower portion of the leg above the ankle.Veins have valves that are designed to direct blood flow to the heart. In these valves are damaged venous insufficiency and blood is not directed toward the heart and stagnating states. Circulation is so cluttered and blood vessels pass from the surrounding tissues where it accumulates. Tissues around the veins are destroyed while and venous ulcers occur. Rarely contributes to the appearance of venous obstruction of venous ulcers
