Stasis dermatitis

   Stasis dermatitis develops on the lower extremities secondary edema and chronic venous insufficiency. Early changes of stasis ulcers, stasis dermatitis may be formed from a mild erythema and scaling associated with itching. Typical of the disease is initially registered over the face of the medial ankle, often over a dilated vein. Dermatitis progressing to become pigmented due to chronic extravasation of red blood cells resulting in the deposition of hemosiderina skin.As in other forms of dermatitis, stasis dermatitis may become acutely inflamed, with formation of scabs and exsudare. Chronic stasis dermatitis is often associated with dermal fibrosis is recognized clinically by a hard swelling. Stasis dermatitis is often complicated by infection and the second is a common skin disease that appears imflamatorie lower in patients with chronic venous insufficiency with venous hypertension.It usually affects middle-aged and elderly patients, is rarely seen before the 5th decade of life, except in patients with acquired venous insufficiency due to inverventiei surgery, trauma or thrombosis.
